Early in 2018 WHEN I BEGAN TEACHING THE ONE-ON-ONE ZOOM STREAMING CLASSES THEY WERE OUTSIDE THE ORDINARY APPROACH to teaching photography and designed to REACH A WORLD WIDE POPULATION. COVID AND SOCIAL DISTANCING HAVE HAVE CHANGED EVERYTHING in our lives AND DISTANCE LEARNING IS PROVEN TO BE A SUCCESSFUL WAY TO LEARN THIS WONDERFUL ART FORM.
PhotoArts CALIFORNIA is the next GENERATION of PhotoArts Marin.
The goal of this “New approach” is to create a relevant successful platform for anyone who wants anything from the basics to advanced techniques. A student can sign up for a one hour class without committing to a large block of classes or can get a reduced rate for multiple classes.
COMMITTED TO CREATE AND TEACH THE ART AND CRAFT OF PHOTOGRAPHY
I founded PhotoArts Marin in 2007 and I have taught approximately 1,600 students in either small groups via Living Social, Groupon and Amazon or as private in-person classes. The transition to private classes came about when it became very clear that group classes simply do not work
for the following reasons:
Private classes give the student the OPPORTUNITY to ask questions and have those questions answered THOROUGHLY and to have a teacher who make sure those answers stick.
The private classes are Custom designed for what a person wants to know.
The private classes offer a guided way to explore the endless creative possibilities of Photoshop
The private classes teach someone how to use their very complicated camera and that new to photography should ignore 90% of what the camera can do, The cameras are complex, confusing yet easily managed with the proper education, practice, PERSISTENCE and patience.
In person classes are taught in the student’s home or at a location of their choice
I can say with absolute confidence that these classes work if the student takes personal initiative to practice and apply what is taught in the classes.
